Should I go with Michellin PRIMACY TOUR A/S?
Due for a tire change soon on my 2013 4matic with 19inch rims. I have done some research and definetly seeing a lot of people talking a lot about pilot sports series. I am wondering if there's a better choice when it comes to absolute comfort and quietness as that's what I am all after. I could care less about handling. Thanks for any input.

So I have the 19" factory staggered setup on my S550 and am running the Pilot Sport A/S 3+. The car is quite comfortable most of the time, especially if I'm using the Comfort mode instead of the Sport mode. If you want more comfort than that, I would think 18" wheels would give you what you want. Since you are changing tires it might be a good time to go to higher profile tire with the 18" wheels.

255/45R-18 MICHELIN PRIMACY HP
I’ve had 255/45R-18 MICHELIN PRIMACY HP on my 2012 w221 since February with good results. They are stable, quiet, and predictable; no worries, no issues.

Upon googling, looks like HP is for summer grand touring. Interesting to know there's such a category. Appreciate your sharing!

I have a set of General GMAX AS-05's on my BMW 6 Series. I liked them so much I just put a set on my S class. They are smooth, quiet and handle very well in dry and wet weather.

I'm a Michelin guy myself, but there is a contributor on the 222 forum that swears by Bridgestone Serenity tires. He ordered his S560 with 18" wheels and is a stickler for a smooth comfortable ride.

I did notice Bridestone asks quite a bit more than Michelin's. Would be interesting to hear the difference between these two in real life.

Never heard of this brand before, I'm sure it's just me though. For someone that knows as little as I do, I will stick to those "more known" names. Some direct comparison with other tires would be much more conclusive though. Thanks for sharing anyway.

I put a set of Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus on my 2013 S550. I've got about 5,000 miles on them so far. I am very impressed with how quiet they are. Much quieter than the Continentals that were on the car. And for my other cars I am a Continental fan, so that is saying something.

2013 S550 4matic
Installed the AS3+ last fall. Around 1,500 miles since changing out the original Continentals.
Ride quality over OEM Continentals subjectively a little firmer but still comfortable and no appreciable increase in road noise. Performance in dry, snow, and rain conditions outstanding. Even ice condition performance proved to be acceptable with the 4matic system.
So impressed with these Michelins that I changed out my 928 with the same tire.

I put PRIMACY TOUR A/S on my E350. Happy with them. Got all of the improvements I was looking for over the Continentals that were on the car previously. Quieter, smoother. Handle fine.

I always thought performance doesn't go hand in hand with comfort. Being named "super sport" makes me think comfort is not their main focus on these tires. I guess the more relevant question is how does, from the same brand, their super sport tires compare to grand touring tires when it comes to comfort and quietness? And I realize it's pretty invalid for one to say one way or the other without a direct comparison.

I had it installed two days ago. Needless to say I am not feeling any drastic difference comparing to the original pretty worn out Conti tires that came with the car when I bought it used. Maybe I was expecting too much.
