S350 w221 2007 shaking/surging like crazy and huge loss of power
So a few months ago my car started to shake and vibrate and lose power, like at idle and when accelerating the whole engine is shaking and running rough, you can feel it throughout the whole car, I have checked the MAF, cleaned the throttle body, changed all the coils and spark plugs and it’s still happening. Sometimes out of no where the car starts to work fine, I touched a few sensors and it started working fine for a month but now it’s back, I called my mechanic and asked if it could be the cams and he said he pulled them all out less than 4000kms ago and he said there’s no way it’s that. He did mention that they did not clear all of the old fault codes from previous work done on the car.
anyone have an idea on how to fix it?
i feel like it could be a sensor because a few times I’ve fixed it by touching a few sensors but it’s so random that I can’t get it to run properly now, like I could go start it now and then it runs fine for a month like last time.
any help would be much appreciated
also forgot to mention that the check engine light is not on and yes it works because it lights up when I start the car
and two times that the car was shaking it told me to top up the window washing fluid when it was already full, idk of that has anything to do with anything just thought I’d mention it
