Packages and Options for 2010 W221
Soon I’m going to be in the market for a 2010 W221. I’d like to learn more about the different packages and features available for that model.
I want to buy as much car as my budget allows but some options are less important than others. I, for example, do not care about the 2nd moonroof.
I also don’t care for Turbo, hence focusing on 2010.
Has anyone compiled such a list?

last year of w221 without turbos are 2011 s550 & 2010 S63
s550 look for AMG package & Designo interior package.
S63 look for distronic and night view & Designo would be awesome.
Most of your higher packaged w221 will probably have the pano roof.

Not sure about the facelift models, but the Premium 2 package is a necessity imo. P2 on the pre-facelift added keyless go (most important), ventilated seats, parking sensors (parktronic), satellite radio, and other bits and bobs. The AMG Sport package is also really nice and makes the vehicle look much more modern. I would go for a P3 though to get massaging seats, rear seat stuff, and possible Distronic.

amg is a must, and for me so was the pana roof, makes the car in my opinion. rear shades and a p2 or p3 is ideal. Designo int Id say is a huuuge plus but its prb rare to find. Night vision does nothing for me and neither does the cruise control.

My personal opinion... Distronic cruise is a must-have for any kind of long distance driving. Lack of cruise control is a deal breaker for me. Night vision is (IMHO) a gimmick, and I wouldn't pay extra for it.

well the cars all have cruise control! active cruise not so much, I do mostly city driving so they never really mattered to me. I do have it in my w222 and have never used that or the park assist...Id say carltito go for the newest and best condition car you can find and although the 10-11 dont have twin turbos and its one less thing to break...there not known for breaking.. so id go TT

My wife's Volvo has adaptive cruise. It's SO good, I sometimes use it in town and always use it on the highway. The only thing I don't like is that it tends to leave way too much space in front in stop & go traffic.
The adaptive cruise in the '07 S600... great on the highway, useless otherwise. It has an embarrassing tendency to brake hard when there's no need to do so. I use it on the highway )on those rare occasions when it actually works) only. There it shines.
