I have an 07 W221 and there is a crack in the grill. I have a distronic system but all the grills I find for this car… They don’t appeal to me. I love the grill in the picture.

Has anyone seen a grill like this available for this car?

I have tried that… I want one that’s black with the Mercedes logo… That grill is a little too vertical up-and-down… I like the spacing of the other grill a lot better… But I realize I might be at a dead end to find something exact

 

That is the 2019 AMG Panamericana grill. Have one on my 2019 C63s

 

But the one above the MB logo is blacked out and most likely a custom job. You can get the Pan grille on Amazon just pick the one that list it as black. Not sure if it comes with a blcked out logo. I got mine from amazon (not blacked out) and it came with a MB logo. Check with the seller

 

Here is an example to consider, because you have the Distronic feature, you will most likely not be able to find a vertical design like what comes on the newer cars, and the S class typically does not really have a nice design option for a grill with a star, because the hood shape for the grill is smaller based on the design. I think there have been some out there that are produced with a star, that is an aftermarket one and the star is small and just looks like a cheap attempt to improving the looks, but it doesn't. In the case with having Distronic you really don't have many options, but the image below might offer you an option, and depending on how bad the one you have is cracked, maybe painting it this way might offer the option to repair the one you have vs having to buy a new replacement. Hope this helps.

 

Did I miss something ? Thought the OP had a GLC not an S Class. Anyway, the front grill without the AMG logo looks cleaner. Rip that thing off and be done with it. I did the Pan grill conversion on my 18 and it looks great. I told them to leave off the AMG grill badge. There is more than enough "look at me " AMG-badging on the car already. Good luck either way ! LOL

 

Maybe I'm confused? I thought the original poster said he has an S class W221 07, and wanted a grill like the one pictured on the GLC all blacked out, but he has Distronic too, so he wasn't sure what options are available. So since trying to fit a vertical grill is probably next to impossible I thought the painted option of this S class with Distronic was a reasonable option?

Looks great... Did you also dechrome the border around the grille? If so, where or how did you tackle this?
