For some time now, my 2011 S350 Bluetec has no sound.
On the display i have the message: Device not available, before it went silent for good, it worked for a period intermitently and alternating between Device unavailable and Media interface unavailable. So now it says Device unavailablee and it's dead for good. No sound at all, music navi voice, phone etc.
Someone sugested that it might be the amplifier in the trunk, checked it and the coller only spins for 1 second.
also yesterday i bought the Star amd after my first diagnose ever i have found fdom what i see amd understand, that in most fiber optic circuit loop there is an interuption between the voice control and the cd changer. O have attatched the pics below.
now of any of you guys habe any advices I wpuld apreciate it cause i habe no idea what to do with this info or if it is correct

if the display has the main background colours with no info displayed (radio stations etc) and you can still swap sources and see things like the nav unit working.... but there's no sound at all, the TTU in the boot is dead, you can't successfully repair and they cost thousands....
sadly this fault is a normal feature of these cars across all years and for both the big surround amp or the smaller standard one
the only fix is a replacement, you can try secondhand but even here it silly money and quite likely the one you get is dead or will soon be dead

I can switch between navi audio and other stuff , al working normally except when i go in audio menu it is stuck with te radio baclground, Device not available written and stuck in Aux. Cannot circle between Aux CD Card and so on..
By TTU you mean the amplifier?
yes, also seen some documentation where Mercedes call it the TGW, (AGW (audio gateway) is the wrong name many use). But the official name for the tuner in the boot is the TTU (its both a tuner and an amplifier)
I've not seen "device unavailable" as a result of tuner failing to push menus on screen and giving no sound, could another module be dead? My can bus had a wobble the other day and two things were trying to communicate at the same time and the sound stopped … left for 10 mins for it to fall asleep and it got over itself but found a can bus fault when I scanned that it's never had before. It looked like the ipod stuck on speedo cluster but comand was allowing me to swap between other sources
