S550 Control Unit
I purchased an 2012 S class 5 months ago. Car now has 60k miles on it. The radio just stopped. Screen appears as if the radio etc was shut off. Took it to the dealer and they say the control unit is faulty and indicated a $7k repair cost. Still picking myself up off the ground. Any thoughts? Refurbished parts to buy?

its normal... I think 2012 ones went to a third type of amp (that'll be hard to find secondhand - there was a NEW one on ebay germany for a very good price the other day (around 2k USD)
