Alternator Clearance
Gentlemen!
I have successfully replaced the driver side engine mount...
It helped significantly, but it didn’t 100% eliminate the slight vibrations.
Taking a look at passenger side, it looks like it would come right out with the removal of the alternator. Sweet! Alternators are easy!
HOWEVER... That is a pretty big *** alternator and there is NOT a lot of room to fiddle it out of there. It is also very low on the engine.
What am I missing here? Does it actually fit? Do I need to remove a few things?
Thanks!

Anyone else swap an alternator? I can't imagine that an alternator is a difficult item to remove from any car. It just looks tight.
There doesn't seem to be any room to pull the mount out the back despite RWD.

Alternator for W221 is hard for remove because there are bracket to hold 02 line of transmission oil coolant, you need the lift to remove this bracket in order to access the last alternator bolt

by the looks of it, if the radiator fan is removed there should be just enough..but getting the fan out looks like a pain too lol

The most dificulty is to remove the last bolt as I mentioned earlier, once 04 bolts removed then you need to take fan shroud out as well as EGR valve on the right bank out in order able to take alternator out.
