AUDIO STREAMING FROM YOUTUBE
Hi,
My name is Gabriel, i am from Romania.
From almost 1 year i have a S400 Hybrid, year 2010 w221, VIN WDD2211951A377354.
I have tryed to make audio streaming from Youtube through a bluetooth device....but no succes.
I wonder if somebody know a way for doing this, any advice is higly apreciated.
I have this jack in the glove compartment and this bluetooth device. The phone (Iphone 11 pro) see this bluetooth, connect to him but no audio is delivered in the Comand speakers.
Local MB dealer told me that my comand is not compatible with this type of bluetooth device, only with the bluetooth integrated for phone calls.
I have attached picture with jack from glove compartment and BT device.
I have not tryed to make a connection through a cable..i am interested in this moment only through BT
Any advice would be great, thank you.

Hi Artim,
Thank for your interest, not sure if i have..i have searched all the compartments, made some research in on-line sources. 99% i do not have AUX.
Still, in Comand meniu this option appear, but it is not selectable..as shown in the picture.

You need media interface to 30pin adapter cable, part number B67824578 and bluetooth dongle like Coolstream carpro to stream audio over bluetooth.

Hi Artim,
Thanks for your info.
I wanted to tell you i already have a cable like that, it has another Part Number..... i have attached a picture. Do you know if there is any tehnical differences between them ? the one i have and the one that you recommended in your previous reply.
I also have this bluetooth device (i have connected directly in the glove compartment), i was pretty sure that a have attached the picture in the first post....but it seems that i did not.
I have attached now in order for to see this BT dongle that i have tryed.
Thank you so much for your help.

Ok I know where is your problem.
You need go to dealer and ask to enable AUX in the menu. Then just select AUX as your audio source an you will have audio with bluetooth dongle you already have.
Your other option is to purchase coolstream carpro bluetooth dongle. With this dongle you can use media interface input instead of AUX input.
The difference between cable you have and the one I recommended is that your cable doesn't have 3.5mm AUX input and the one I recommended has also 3.5mm AUX input. You can use the cable you already have if you decide to purchase coolstream carpro bluetooth dongle.

Hi,
Sorry for such late reply.
I have been to the local dealer, they said to me that they can not activate the ,, aux,, sochet...because..if it is shown in the menu is this means that is active( this are the words of the ocal MB dealer) and will be highlighted when i will plug the audio device. So, I did not yet ordered the device that Artim told me.
In the meantime, when i changed the polen filter i saw this sochet under the glove box, oriented to the middle of console..please see picture. This is an original part i guess, probably assembled from the beginning in the car....but i wont dissregard the option of beeing mounted later..but in my opinion is an original part.
But is still not working, i have plugged a headphones, Iphone 6 and a Android device, Galaxy A6 i guess(3.5 mm audio cables)....all of them are 4-5 years old devices...old, but functional. Nothing happend when i plug any of this devices, the music still hear through the car sound sistem, the ,,aux,, option can be seen in command menu but is not highlighted and therefore can not be selected. I think that this sochet is maybe for an ipod, i have not tried this because i do not have one.
Should i check the audio wire from the car ? How can i know if it is ok..in order to eliminate the option of an damaged wire.
If there is no other option i will try Artim solution, hope that our local postal office will be fully operational again ..we still have a lot of problems with this Covid-19 pandemia. Some dealers wont ship to Romania, the products come very late....and you have to stay many hours at the postal office to get your package.
So please if anyone has an advice..please help.
Have a nice day.

To me, it seem like the unit doesn't see Aux input. If I'm you, I would pull the unit out and see if there's a connected Aux interface box behind the unit. If it's connected then look at the black box for signs of damages. Good lucks!

start life testing the port in the glove box with a cable..... once you understand how the world / features and menus work in the grown up world using a cable, then you can safely progress to trying to get Bluetooth to work
that socket is the option you have with facelift cars running the NTG3.5 comand unit.... I would expect with the right cable and the right device connected, the media interface option comes to life. Thus allowing you to hear, see onscreen and navigate around its menus with the COU (comand knob). With this working and you understanding how to operate, check which BT devices support all of the cars features (viseeo WMA3000, Bovee etc.) and it should work but using the BT connection you want

For the AUX connection both my 2010 E550 and 2013 S550 have the glove box interface cable together with the 3.5 mm connection, which I think is the AUX connection. Also the 2011 E350 that I had was equipped with this same cable.
I have not connected anything to this 3.5 mm socket but I would think the connection becomes alive if I plug into it.
Just confirmed. The 3.5 mm connection in the cable is the AUX. It came out if gray after I unplugged the Bovee blue tooth “streamer” and I was able to play music thru the 3.5 mm Jack after I selected AUX.
