Yeah, I’m impatient with stuff. It’ll be close to a month before it even comes to me unless I buy the eBay one. Fawkkk it, I’m going to do my own LED install. I’ll try and make a video for those who are interested.
btw I used glue gun stick to hold it in place.
for the fornt dash light I manged to make the led strip as one pice and use two led light because the light get dimmer the longer it gets.

good luck to you all.
hey could you give me the rundown on what kit you talking about you purchased that is wireless and could we have a link please the one you provided is not working
I was trying to be a bit more innovative here and fit some programmable LEDs, play along with the comand and enable some form of control using factory buttons... but it turns out LED strip based on WS2811 simply won't fit... and even if you can squeeze it in, it looks like crap, especially around central console when you are sitting on passenger side and look at the central console - these are just not elastic enough to pack them in a way that would allow nice and smooth bends.... Tube-based LED seems the only aesthetically-acceptable solution here
If anybody finds any programmable LEDs that fit in a 5mm tube, let me know :P I am not giving up just yet, just returned to OE ambience...

How does it look wit the lights on while on the dash?
I got sk812 5mm let's that may fit in a 5mm tube.. they also have ap102 led which are 4mm but they are expensive .. they cost like $40m... for the whole car your looking at around $200-250 for just the straps not including wiring & other stuff & leds that small use 5v so you will need a step down voltage controller
Also if u remove all of the black plastic trim on the dash and door pieces & mount the leds to the silver tabs the black pieces connect too, they will tuck into the trim better & you may not be able to see them when the car is put back together.... but you will not be able to use the clear plastic that comes with the car if u use that method... the only way to combat the bends the strips can't make is by cutting & soldering together or using multiple shorter strips.. it will not make the whole dash run as 1 piece
The challenge is that these 10mm RGB tapes don't bend the way you need them to bend around the central part of the console. Fitting them is a real problem... is simply no room to hid them behind the trim under HVAC controls - passenger will always see these and it is not pretty, unless you find something _much_ smaller. Having said that - I ordered some 4mm addressable RGB ;-) As a backup, I also picked some classic 5mm tubes. If I can't address each pixel, at least I'll have a nice solid color setup...
You can create your own string of LEDs...however I think the problem will be diffusing the light. Ambient lighting looks great if you're looking at indirect/reflected light, not the LED strip directly or light pipe. If you already have the light pipe in place simply swap out the LEDs for some larger ones. It'll be more than bright enough.

thank you
I got the kit from dmp car desing
you can watch this video on youtube he use the same kit I installed on my car.
True... I can see how that could be a problem.... the original creators of the product may be the same way... or the buyers could contact the original makers & get instructions... but alot of stuff I've bought from overseas or China doesn't come with instructions anyway or their so ****ty u end up not using them anyway lol
hi there i'm new on the forum and i buy the kit and the seller don't help me at all and i can't find a place in toronto ( canada ) where they do install the kit here a couple picture of the kit
I don’t know of any installers in Canada but you may be able to ask someone that works with installing sound equipment, they usually do LED lighting as well. Might charge you an arm or leg but it’s not a project I’ll ever do again. My car took me forever! However, I do love the outcome.
Those are the things I used. I removed the instrument panel and there is a small plastic-clip with the OEM LEDs. I removed those and glued the new LEDs onto that strip, so everything looks like OEM. Basically you are using the already existing pieces and just add the new LEDs.
Hello Lukas, thank you for sharing this.
I would do same, can you please share what to buy?
