I'm new to this forum but I spend the last 5 days, roughly 15h figuring out a cool way to pimp up the "old-school" LED-ambient lighting to make my baby look like new on the inside.
I'm even more surprised after seeing the result. It truly looks stunning and you get the feeling of sitting in a w222... of course with the nice design of a w221
I will add some pics and videos later. If you wish to do the same, I didn't spend more than 80-100$ on it, just send me a message and I can provide further instructions or some help.
The entire setup is controllable with an App or a small Remote. Just choose your favorite color...
The colors do not look as bright on the pictures as they are in real life... the car looks completely illuminated I added an optic-strip to the center-console. You can barely see it when its daylight but it shines super bright during the night and gives a really nice touch to the center console.

Do you have any closeups how it was attached to dashboard components? Did u tuck it under the wood decor or is it just a sticker in the groove between the decor and the dashboard?
Those are the things I used. I removed the instrument panel and there is a small plastic-clip with the OEM LEDs. I removed those and glued the new LEDs onto that strip, so everything looks like OEM. Basically you are using the already existing pieces and just add the new LEDs.
On the left you see the original LEDs and on the right my new one from the KIT. I then removed the black plastic-thing and glued the new once onto it so I can just slide it back onto the rail Those are the new LEDs on the OEM plastic-thing which goes directly onto the factory strip illuminating the car

No, you don't have to add something to it. The OEM parts will do if you just add the new LEDs and wire them through the car.
Tried even calling the company, but it appears the call cannot be routed from where I live... (or the number is bad). Mails sent, contact form filled - no reply (yes, I checked junk :P)
@Jefe47 , are you also working with them? Because I sent you PM 11 days ago and got the exact same response like from them... :P

Hey, @amgs63dxb give me a text 703-622-5914. I was able to get in touch with the vendor and will be ordering my lights from them. Let me know if you’re interested as well

What's the price of the kit? I may be interested too.

Price is steep but I assumed it would be since it’s a plug and play product. $300 shipped but I think it’s a small price to pay to make our W221’s look like the W222 ambient lights. Text me if anyone else interested as well so I can place the order this week. I’ll try and see if he’s willing to reduce price if we place a large order.
True... I can see how that could be a problem.... the original creators of the product may be the same way... or the buyers could contact the original makers & get instructions... but alot of stuff I've bought from overseas or China doesn't come with instructions anyway or their so ****ty u end up not using them anyway lol
That’s true. I can’t decide if I want to pay the $300 to be able to control the light color and brightness vs a $50 one color LED strip I was going to install initially. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to control the brightness. Was thinking of going with purple until I saw their product but after speaking with the seller, they won’t have the product in stock for another week or two. What to doooooo
Yes I feel u.... or jus buy the 1 off ebay! I was going to buy their product but changed my mind after emailing them a couple times with no response... so I decided to try my own thing & bought some mini addressable leds & see how that turns out.... didn't cost nearly as much as their product which I thought was kinda high... but I would love to have the steering wheel controls though
