Sounds like you had a lower radiator hose blow out? Or another radiator hose? It should be easy to see when you have a look. Definitely shut off the engine before it gets too hot and warps all the metal. Hoses need to be looked at every now and then, they are just rubber, and don't last forever. They are also pretty cheap. I always try to replace my coolant/antifreeze every two to three years in most of my cars, I know they say the coolant in my W221 is good for "five years" but either way, when doing that, all hoses should be scrutinized and if any signs of age; bulging, wear, abrasion, replace. My SL600 had a intercooler circuit hose begin to leak, I took that car to my indy shop which is a very professional foreign car specialist shop. They said You need an hose for the intercooler system, It comes as a kit for all the various hoses for that system. For that car, very hard to find those hoses! Had to order from Germany and wait weeks. I said, while we are at it, replace every coolant hose on the car. That car has a V12 and it was 14 years from new. So now it has all new hoses.I may look at the hoses on my S550 very closely now that this issue has come up! As long as you didn't kill the engine with overheat, this should be a simple fix: new radiator hoses, new coolant, and fine once again. Good luck

Took the car to the shop. It's leaking from the turbos. $1000. Last month spent $14 grand replacing basically the entire bottom end. Suspension components and all
