Replacing ECU - what's involved?
it would be nice that you post a list of models that do need this data to be inserted
that would help the community

Well, today I took it out for another run. On an empty stretch of highway I hammered it full throttle from a slow roll to 100+ a couple of times. No hesitation, no misfires, no codes. I'll continue to run fuel injector cleaner through the system for a while at least, and keep it up periodically as a preventive measure, but it looks like the problem is fixed. Well, THIS problem anyway. Now if I can just figure out why it likes dumping coolant overboard, I'll have a reasonably reliable vehicle. For a while.

I run a large plastic bottle of techron added to a full tank about once a month. I think it helps.

I am in need of a new ECU. I still haven't purchased a used donor yet. I have Xentry so I can program a virginized one, but if you also have Xentry/DAS, I'd rather mail you both ECUs and have you clone the donor all at once. Let me know how you'd like to proceed.

Hello DaleB.... the used ECU first has to be virginized and only then it can be coded to the car. If you send me the Original ECU along with the Used/new one I can do everything on the bench. It will have the latest software update/SCN coding done with connection to the server. I will have all FBS3 data transferred from Original ECU.
