I have a 2007 s550 base sedan 113k on it.the car was slipping in second gear so I had the transmission fluid & screen replaced.that solved the slipping in second issue.however I’m seeing something new happening with the car.the other day I took a hr drive,the car drove beautifully.i got back home parked the car,not even 5 minutes put the car in drive & nothing.i pressed the gas the rpm needle didn’t move & the engine remained idle.i let the car sat for 15 mins.went back out & drive engaged like normal.has this happened to anybody else? If so what was the cause?

sounds unusual....
they can have moments now and then... damp / wearing module throws some garbage round the can bus and it has a moment, you "might" find a clue with a diagnostics check.
If you own a BM or a Merc , don't leave home without dealer level diagnostic equipment.... if you want piece of mind / reach destination successfully
