Recharge A/C or just add Freon
My 2011 4matic front only A/C is working good but not as cold as it has been since last year. Don't have any leaks all climate control functions on command and dash work fine. Was thinking of just adding freon to get it back to norm. Just have couple questions want to get opinions on. Any help and thoughts would appreciate.
Should I just recapture, vacuum and recharge the system I have the equipment. It hasn't been done since I've own the car.
If I go this route anyone know the capacity of R134a the car holds. I've found chart stated 1070 grams or 37 ounces.

Not a bad idea to recover the refrigerant and check to see if it will hold a vacuum before adding any more.
As for the charge amounts, its 1070g without the rear A/C evaporator (1180g with the rear A/C evaporator.)
There is also a list of options for adding oil, but they are all related to r/r of a component or failed hose, so perhaps not applicable in this case.

Before you add freon, when was the last time you changed the cabin air filters? If they haven't been changed in a while they will clog and reduce airflow.
