Command Unit shutting off every 20 seconds

My command unit cuts off every 15-20 seconds and comes back on. Everything works for a few seconds but it cuts off. I have have the updates applied but that did not help the situation. Has anyone had this problem and if you did how did you get it resolved? What do you all think could be the problem. Thanks

I would try cleaning the comand unit and checking for nay damage (bad solder joints etc.) if you have a scanner check for codes. look up any tsb.

Thanks for sending me the threads you did. One of them contained info on the shop listed below. Called the shop and talked to Alex and he told me what the problem was without any hesitation or bull****. Local shops came up with all kind of possibilities and bs. Either you have seen the problem and know what is wrong or you don't. He is a good guy and will save you a lot of money. Mailed the unit on Saturday by Fed Ex and he received it Tuesday. Called me Wednesday morning and said he had fixed unit and would run it for the day to make sure problem was resolved. He is mailing the unit back tomorrow Thursday and I should receive it early next week. Appears to be best $350 I have ever spent. Will report more once I receive unit and put it in. Stealership quoted me over $7k for new command unit. I have heard that the command unit is a common problem area as there are a number of components involved with it. First issue I have had since I had car, but I will keep his number close for the future.

Yes. Alex at JP Auto Sound is the man. To all that read this article or thread call this guy for all your MB audio issues. The best in the business I’ve seen thus far, reliable, trust worthy check him here is his info

Unit working fine and is not cutting on and off any more. Best $350 I have spent. Radio didn't need to be reprogrammed or anything at dealer.
