after changing the battery on my 2006 S500 I had a problem with the CD player.All functions stopped working .I bought a new CD player and everything went back to normal for 1 hour .Now The display shows : please start the engine otherwise command will switch off in 3 minutes.
I noticed that the CD player is kind of hot and the amplifier fan keeps working even after I switch off the car .Because of this the driver seat does not move and the trunk does not close till I switch the engine on.

the car eat 37 amps with key on and the exterior lights off. even a fully charged brand new battery struggles to last very long at all. Anything over 20 minutes is asking for trouble.... if its cold and not been driven for 2 weeks make that 9 minutes
