Rear right door issue

Guys, my 2005 s500l's rear right door is kind of disconnected from the car nor windows, neither vacuum closing option, curtains, locks, lights or anything else works on it. Tried to check the connector from the car to the door using a multimeter, almost on all pins had ~12v. Where should I dig now ? Thanks

Try updating the door module software. You need an Xentry system for that.

Ok, will go to a service center for that, thanks. But can it be the issue if other 3 doors work fine ?

Each door has its own module.

And at dealer expect a cost around $450 for the module itself if looking at replacement.

Yes, each door has a module. My experience is that each door will exhibit the same behavior and you'll have to update all of the modules eventually. Keep this in mind when you go to a service center because it will cost each time you go.

The module doesn't need replacing, the software just needs updating.

Or the error codes just need to be reset. I’ve had a couple of minor glitches with mine... seat stopped working, etc. — just clearing the codes got it working again. One of these days I’m going to have to go find all the little CAN bus connections and re-seat them. Usually I’ll find some really oddball code, along with a communication failure code or two.

Anyway... before you spend a bunch of money, read and clear ALL the codes and see if anything changes.
