Angry Check Engine with 6 Codes

Hi Everyone,

New to Benz community always bought bmws but always loved the s class. I buy and sell cars from auctions. Most of them are salvage titles which i rebuilt and sell but this one i wanted to buy for myself and drive it for a little. SO this benz is 2007 S550 AMG package. So the car had a front right suspension damage so I changed everything from top to bottom on the suspension but the car has a check engine light and i read the codes with my obd reader and it gave me 6 codes, P0016, P0017, p0300, p0301, p0304, p0303. the first 2 is for Crankshaft position, camshaft position Correlation Bank 1 Sensor A and B. p0300 is random misfire and the rest is cylinder 1,3,4 is misfiring. the car runs very rough at idle. car is shaking and there is gas smell. So first thing i did was swap coils but the codes didnt change. i checked the spark plugs and they looked ok to me. I then swapped 1 of the camshaft position sensor from bank 2 to bank 1 but the code still didnt change. Anyone ever had this issue? I been reading about it and people are saying the early engine M273 had problems but i check my engines serial number and it doesnt fall within the engines that had camshaft problems but it is still possible that i have camshaft problem. I read online the timing chain could be the problem also but not sure? The cars i buy are mostly insurance cars which are totaled so what i am wondering is the car was on the road and it got into an accident and got totaled so i do not think the old owner was driving this car with all these misfires because i dont think its even driveable. The cars battery is dead also I dont know if this will cause problems either. I do not know what to do, I cant drive the car to mechanic so i am trying to see if i could diagnose it in my driveway first then get it towed to shop or maybe even fix it myself if its something simple. Any input is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Dead batteries will cause all manner of problems, so fix that first. Crank and cam position sensors are cheap, replace them all and save the time and hassle of playing 'swap-the-parts-around'. Then see if other issues and/or codes remain. Just my opinion.

Thank you, that’s what I thought too so I will start with the battery and sensors and go from there. Maybe a stupid question but where is the crank sensor in this car and is there just one?
