Lumbar Support Fixed

Hi everyone, I am sharing my instructions on how I fixed my lumbar support in my W221 S350.
Went to the dealership and indie shop and neither of them seemed to be interested in fixing it. I decided to fix it myself.

That’s some good info. How do you think the new material will hold up compared to stock?

In my experience nylon reinforced TPU is more reliable than TPU. I had both connectors broken and it is most likely because the stock ones used connectors made with TPU ester. The connectors I am using are TPU ether which do not oxidize overtime.

Sounds like somebody should produce some quality replacements of all the bladders and make them available for purchase. I’d buy a set

Haha. It would be fun but the quantity needs to be high enough to make this project worth it (tooling and etc.)
