Engine swap
So I have a weird question.
I have a 2006 w221 320cdi as a replacement for my 2007 w221 320cdi which was written off recently.
We had the car on a jack to access, the jack slipped and punched a hole in the crank case. Engine is written off.
I have my old engine and transmission and ecu from the 2007.
I have someone who can do labour to change the engine for the old one. Potentially transmission as well as have issue with speed sensor.
1. Please can someone confirm if a engine swap using the same ecu will need any programming (I have Xentry and Vediamo)
2. Does anyone know how to virginise the transmission? Or if I swap ecu will it work without programming?
