Intermittent AC Cooling
Hi guys,
I have an "08 S65 AMG that has an intermittent AC problem. Occasionlally after the car has been sitting idle for a day or more, when I get in and start the car the AC starts blowing but the AC compressor doesnt cool. After driving for 10 or 15 minutes it will start cooling and continue with no problem. All blower functions work fine, it's just the compressor (or some valve that rprevents the compressor from working) that is intermittent. Is there a compressor relay that could be sticky? Haven't connected my STAR Unit yet so I'm just hoping to find where to start.

low gas from leaking condenser - quite normal at this age - and might be the driver, as the car warms up the ac works a bit. pop the bonnet and look around the edges of what looks like the cooling radiator (its actually the AC condenser that sits in front of the engine rad... u r looking for grey/black dusty/greasy patches around the edges.... its a good indicator the AC gas is weeping out and some of the oil is causing road filth to stick
later cars seem to give the ac gas level in diagnostic data, but never found that on mine
