Does the backup camera link to reverse lights?

Does the backup camera link to reverse lights?
The reverse lights and rear camera aren't working on my '13 S550. Is there a common fuse for both or are they wired independently? I know about the "broken wire in the trunk" problem that kills the camera and I'm wondering if that would kill the reverse lights as well.
Any input you can suggest would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check wiring routed through trunk hinge feeds all associated with trunk lid.
