This may not be the issue but sometimes it’s the little things. It’s a t20 torx head on the bolt which only turns 90 degrees +/-. It should not spin. Double check your driver size.
just repaired my keyless go issue recently which required removing the door handle.
The way I understand it, the screw should turn either left or right until it comes to a complete stop. I can see the screw turning but it's not moving forward or back. This is on a W216.
When the screw is turned the bracket slides in the bearing bracket either tightening or loosening the lock cylinder. Not sure if this can be purchased separately. Found a bracket on Ebay for $12 bucks. Took a couple of hours to swap out but saved at least $300.
