Custom led light kit installed

Hey guys I finished up on my led lights project in the s class. My goals were to have a lot color options, had to be controlled by phone app, and finally look completely factory with no wires showing. This project is definitely DIY but it’s very time consuming. I think it brings a nice touch to the inside of the car. The brightness of the lights can be adjusted so they are not as bright. The led strips have been installed in the dashboard and all 4 door panels.

Thank you! The ABS module is in California getting repaired so I figured I would give this project a try. I got the idea from another guy on YouTube. He added the strips where the oem lights were on the dashboard and door panels. I wanted to keep those lights. With 172k miles and just rebuilding the transmission I figured I had nothing to lose. This car has been a labor of love. All the wiring leading to the rear doors have been ran through the B-pillar and rubber boot jambs installed to give it the oem look. Also the holes I made on the doors and jambs have been touched up with paint to prevent rusting and I added 100% waterproof silicone underneath the plastic plugs that are used by paintless dent removal companies. Once I have a chance I will post more videos of the entire car interior with the lights on all 4 door panels and dashboard.

It looks great! You weren't able to use the oem led's that are already on the doors/dash?

The oem lights are in tact and still working. Just that I turned down the brightness of the oem light.

Thank you very much. I had a bodyshop doing it. It was the only thing I could do unfortunately.

I like the look.. I can control the brightness so it’s not distracting when I am driving. The fact it’s 2007 and still running is a feat lol

Totally agree. I love all these car improvements, and I love to upgrade my car to make it look cooler. My wife doesn't share such interests and keeps saying, "Stop making our car look like a teenage party girl." Yes, I may be obsessed with LED lights. I've installed them in the headlights, front and rear of the car, and I'm thinking about installing LED light strips for car interior. I'm obsessed with driving in the car late at night, just relaxing after work, listening to my favorite songs, and these multicolored light strips synchronize the rhythms. It looks so cool in my mind! What do you guys think, is my wife right, or should I try it?
