Headlight bulb.
Can someone confirm the headlight bulb number?
08 s550 with night vision. Do I have Bi xenon or xenon. My hi beam and low beam comes out the same headlight housing.
Is it D1S?
Any specific place to buy them from? FCP? AutohausAZ.
and is it 4000k or 5000 k.
My passenger side headlight started turning pinkish in color. I assume its on its way out.

Bulb is going I suggest replacing both sides so they match. Need VIN to supply MB part # searching this will also pull compatible aftermarket if this is your intent.

most cheap one's on ebay are fake Chinese rubbish and can cause fires
Philips make some of the best headlights for quality of beam produced
bi-xenon is a term relating to a metal strip that flips inside the light unit to switch between dip and high beam - it does not mean 4 lights (two per side)

I got a Phillips one from Rock auto, $54. Same one on FCP was $84. With one day delivery it came out to $75 or so.
I just hope I can instal the bulb without ruining anything.
If the new bulb is too different looking compared to the driver side, Ill get a new bulb for that side as well soon.
Was weird to see one side go purple all of the sudden with a few flickers here and there.

You are totally right. If you give the Chinese a good spec requirement, they actual can make a nice product. But if you are competing on price only, they will make it as cheap as they can which is never good. I have seen metal meshing parts with no lubricant to save a dime; a disaster waiting to happen in 10 months or so. For my S600, only German or OEM parts will do. And be careful, I have recently seen Chinese parts inside a German box labeled made in Germany. The box was made in Germany, not the part!

I'd like to change the Xenon headlight bulbs in my car. They work, but they're 14 years old, and probably due for some shinier news ones. What's up with the death warnings and 25,000 volts labels? I see people on YouTube changing theirs with seemingly no problem. What would I have to do wrong to end up getting fried doing this? I assume I disconnect the starter battery? Or battery in trunk?

I have also a headlight challenge, I need to replace the bulb (so not the mainlight bud the small one).
My Mercedes (X) W218 form 2013 Left hand drive needs a replacement of a bulb on the right hand side its easy acces bud on the drivers side (left) not. Can not find any how to manuals who can help me please.
