Airbag related.
the module that causes the airbag to fire should have stored the info about its deployment (so for research / make money purposes), its likely Merc claim the module will need to be replaced - some other stuff have capacitors in them to fire off pyrotechnics on seat belt buckles etc so they will be / maybe damaged where capacitors have gone throw a massive power surge - hence the surcharge on returning the old units and paying 250 for replacements
so you enter the world of I don't like paying out money so an eastern European guys has discovered how to reset the module and is busy taking over the world charging 150 to rested the box using hooky software they wrote, if you can find and or trust them its is a way to do stuff in an unapproved of manner
on each chassis leg (near the headlamp - reach from below) is a $50 sensor that doesn't like baby car park bumps, so a massive prang may leave you with some expensive surprises
