Smile Door Handle Keyless Go Unlock Stopped Working

My Keyless Go lock/unlock feature using the exterior door handle sensor stopped working. I saw some older threads describing repairs/replacement of various components. Didn’t really want to get that involved. Last night it occurred to me that the sensor might just be covered with an “invisible” layer of spray wax from the drive through car wash. Sure enough, I used mild general purpose cleaner (the kind used to wipe down household surfaces) - I didn’t even have to wipe the cleaner off (although I did) - as soon as the spray hit the handle, the door locked. Works like a charm now. Just sayin - sometimes a simple solution is all that is needed.

that would be pretty incredible, as it works off radio waves not vision, to an antenna inside the door

I think he's talking about the capacitive touch part, not the RF part.

did they both stop working? I have the same problem on my cl but it seems to only be the driver door.

All four doors stopped responding. All now work fine. It's worth a try to just clean the drivers door sensor. No real cost or effort. Maybe there's some build-up on that sensor and not so much on the other.

You might have a broken wire in the handle. I had same issue, only driver door failed. See posts on these boards for fix, pretty easy DIY.

All fours doors stopped working. Sensors all not detected by car computer.

All four of my doors keyless go sensors stopped working.
I checked the fuses, wires and antenna are all working fine.
My truck keyless open works fine.
Any idea what's the problem?
I plugged in obd computer and found code 93AD. Stating that 1 or more doors are not plugged in or cannot be tested.
I'm dumb founded atm on how to fix this. I have a feeling that the keyless module is not detecting the door sensors.
Somewhere the connection may have another controller that maybe faulty resulting the module not reading.
Please let me know if anyone has a solution.
