S550 Possible ECU issues
I'm having a check engine light issue on my 2009 S550. I read the codes and there were several. I cleared those and the two codes that remained were 1337 and 0218. I started the car, drove a few different times and now the light is back on. I'll reread the codes again tomorrow, but from searching it appears the ecu has a fault. Has anyone replaced theirs? What's the best way to go about replacing an S550's ecu? Used one, do they have to be coded or can you recode a used ecu, rebuilt, or what's the best method someone has seen? The car starts every time and doesn't seem to have voltage regulator issues. I've been told by the auction I bought the car from that it wouldn't stay running. While it's been in my possession the car has ran fine though minus the light. Also when I start my car I get a parking brake see owner's manual warning. It will make a noise when I pull the switch after starting the car until the warning light comes on and then it won't activate anymore. The parking brake isn't on I've noticed as the car rolls freely and is drivable. Any ideas? I also have a left cornering light malfunction. Which bulb is that? I have night vision and I don't want to play with the headlights too much.
