Disappointed to say that my biggest fear may have just come true. Driving home from work on Thursday, my check engine light pops on. Thought nothing of it; I'd just gotten gas, maybe just a loose cap. I'm about 10 miles from home when I'm met with sudden loss of gears, and I'm now stuck in first gear, with hazards on at 30-35mph. During this ordeal, manual gear selection via paddles was unresponsive. RPM's were
3000-3500 as I wasn't letting it get any higher than that. I'm able to take it to AutoZone on my way and they pull the following codes: P0025, P0015, P0718, P0717, P0071, P0022.
I'm going to take it to an Indy on Monday, anybody have any experience with this, a similar issue, or know of an easy fix? I'm not ready to chuck the car to the wayside, it's been driving flawlessly up until this event on Thursday. If this is a sign that the dreaded timing chain has finally failed me, what's next?
