Question Problem with rear lamp and lumbar pump

Hello everyone

I have tested my Mercedes Star Diagnosis and I have the following problems. Maybe you have any suggestions, advice where to look for a solution?

SAM-FOND
9030
Element E3e6 (left side marker light) damaged or the cable from the component has a short circuit or break (the parking light bar above is not illuminated).
The rear SAM has been checked and is in working.
9081 Element M25/1 (lumbar cushion adjustment pump) is damaged or the wire to the component is break.

Thanks for the suggestions

How much experience do you have? The first things to do is check the connectors. For the light bar, this’ll be in the boot (trunk) directly beneath the light. For the lumbar pump it’ll be under the seat. Do a visual check and give them a wiggle. If you have one, you could also use a multimeter/voltmeter on the resistance setting (on the lamp/seat side) or the voltage setting (on the car side with the brakes activated/seat control activated) if you have one.

From there it gets a lot more complicated so hopefully it’s just that something has caught on the leads and tugged them a bit.

Oh, also check the fuses and the relays. There’s several fuse boxes so do a quick Google for the locations of the fuses you need.
