Timing chain tensioner bolt
I bought a 2009 model and the tensioner bolt was loose. I heard you need to reset it before reinstall or you’ll damage the chain. Does anyone know how to reset it or have any info on this? I’m scared to start the car. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
once tensioner is installed, you need to do one more procedure to release tensioner by remove a plastic on the rear camshaft, put T100 to hold the camshaft then turn crankshaft counter clockwise until you hear a click when tensioner is realesed. The main purpose of this procedure is to make timing chain tension enough to touch timing rail to releases tensioner
