Hello - I have a 06 E350 W211 - Is the Transmission Control module (TCM) the same thing as the Conductor Plate?

Yes internal to transmission there is also a control unit located in interior passenger compartment. BTW 211 should be posting here: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211-20/
