Cool Ventilated seats not working

In the month I've had my 08 S550 the ventilated seats (both sides) haven't worked. The button on the door lights up with the blue lights for the three settings but there is not airflow. Where is the fuse for the blowers that move the air? Also does someone have a guide for which fuses are in which fuse boxes? The 800 page owners manual doesn't have that. Of course, MBZ wants you to go to the stealer. Thanks in advance.

they don't the design is terrible - check under the seat three of the fans just fell off on mine at 42k miles and bits were sitting in the carpet
the air flow is pathetic even when right - on the early one it will JUST suck a sheet of A4 paper to the seat - on a facelift they later ran the fans both directions, first to blow away the sweat - instead of sucking in to the seat foam like the earlier cars

Are you telling me that the air flow doesn't blow up towards the seat, rather it pulls air down?

Ventilation only recirculates existing cabin air via 2 backrest & 4 seat bottom fans. They are not air conditioned and simply pull in air from the small mesh screens blowing it through perforated leather.

there are vents from the AC close to where the base fans operate - when on you can JUST detect something is different - I thought they sucked in the sweat (but I could be wrong) from 2010 they do run in BOTH directions swapping part way after 5 or 10 mins...

as I said, put a bit of A4 paper on the seat - it either almost takes the weight of the paper (like a hovercraft) OR its very delicately sucked to the cushion - you have to TRY very hard to notice if the paper state is really any different with it on or off - you can watch the fans go round from underneath

and as I said 3 on the base just FELL OFF - the whole design is a joke, from massage, to lumbar in all the wrong places and the most discomfort in a car seat I ever experienced

Now that you mention the lumbar and massage, I am disappointed as well. I test drove an Audi A8L and the massage feature was wayyyyyyy better. But the smooth ride on the S550 is phenomenal!

When BOTUS mentioned his indifference for the ventilated seats on how weak the airflow is, I tried them with the engine not running, and lo and behold I did hear the fan come on very distinctly. I guess they do work, but lack cajones!!
