ABC Dipstick
I managed to break the blade of the ABC dipstick on my S600. I ordered a new one by part number and they sent me the blade only but no cap. Does the blade screw into the cap? I also ordered a W220 ABC dipstick (it has a different part number) and it came with a cap and a blade all-in-one, but it is slightly shorter with different level notches than the original. I tried not putting the cap on and just covering it with plastic wrap and a rubber band, but that immediately generated a yellow ABC error on my dashboard. I put the cap back on without the blade and I am operational with no codes, but I want a new W221 dipstick. Any ideas?

Thank you. I just ordered the cap. Does the blade just screw into the cap?

Ordered and received the rubber cap here and it turns out there is a little lip inside the cap. Pretty tight but you can press the blade into the cap (the old cap was not pliable at all and probably the original cause of the break in the old blade!). Pretty sneaky Mercedes, but it is OK because I am operational. I know you don't need a blade to drive it, but I take pride in keeping my S600 in first class shape. Now happy.
