Need help with hood sensor
Hello all,
So I am having an issue that started recently with the hood open sensor. Then of course at one point I wasn’t able to open the hood so I brought it to my mechanic and had the locking mechanisms, cables, hood release latch handle, and hood sensor replaced. After my mechanic installed everything I am still getting the open hood error. I am not sure what else to change. Any help with me great.

Awesome, any shot you have picture of what you are talking about? The only thing I see is the harness going to the sensor. I checked the wires as much as I could but they look fine. Any pictures you could show me would be awesome. The cable is brand new along with the sensor.

Wanted to add one more thing. The hood open error light only comes on when the car is in motion. When I am at traffic light stopped the hood error light isn’t on.

I appreciate that.. so funny you say that I have sds and it doesn’t show up. Ninjabenz tried to look for it and it never showed up. Last time I had this issue I simply used a zip tie to depress the hood switch closed. I rather not do that but this hood error light is annoying. It’s the hood is clearly not open as I have checked.
