Radiator Replacement S550

Has anyone ever replaced the radiator on a 2013 S550, I was wondering if I can do it myself as the dealer is wanting $3000. They sell the radiator for $500 at parts.

I looked at doing it, as I researched replacing a bunch of other cooling system parts. It looked doable to me, for what it's worth. I personally would try it first before paying $3000.

OP the job is best done on a hoist. Most difficult part of it is getting the ‘stack’ of A/C condenser and heat exchangers to hang on the new radiator upon reassembly. Have the right size torx sockets handy as that is how coolant pipes are attached to the radiator fan. Having a tool that is a pick type thing in an L shape with a blunt head is handy for sliding into hoses that are stuck on the radiator. Be gentle and take your time. Some like to remove the bumper cover to gain access. I don’t bother.

It doesn't look easy, maybe taking it apart would be easy but I never was into servicing air conditioners and didn't know it was involved.
