Buying 2012 S550 4MATIC High Mileage issues? ADVICE
I am trading my 1987 560SEC with 176,000kms and paying some cash on top so I'll be letting go of a very special car in order to obtain this as a daily driver
I have read online that the 2012+ models are better to own and a safer bet in terms of reliability. I am going to get a basic warranty from the dealer which covers me for 1 year or 20,000kms for two claims up to 3000$ each. I am trying to get a higher warranty package but dealer tells me car is over 10 years old now and most warranty companies will only provide basic power train coverage. From what I've googled, the problems below come up. And with the car approaching high mileage, I'm afraid I may end up paying a big bill in the near future
Also the cherry on top is that I'm buying the car sight unseen... the car is located about 6 hours away and I wont get time to go there and the dealer claims they've got local interest
The only reason they are considering doing the deal with me is because I'm trading in my SEC and the dealership owner has a thing for older benz coupes
Would love some feedback before pulling the trigger. I plan to daily drive this car for 2-3 years minimum. The price is right on the car given the mileage but I'm on the fence
Hoping for some guidance before I make this decision (today)

what was wrong with turbos? did you keep air suspension or change it to normal coilover?
