Few issues after getting the car back from the mechanic

Hello all,

Recently I had my car by my mechanic to replace Front Lower Forward Rearward Control Arm Ball Joint, wheel bearings, and Front Upper Control Arm w/ Ball Joint LH&RH . The reason my car was there in the first place was a loose Change sound coming from the front right passenger wheel which I believed was my strut and still do cause the noise is still there. Needless to say that’s one of a few issues that I am having now. For one the front end of my car is much lower than it was previously when I dropped off the car at the mechanic. I do have lowering links on the front and back but those were adjusted perfectly for 2 years now and never had an issue with them. The car goes up/down without an issue with the air suspension cause I have tried it several times. When the suspension setting is raised the back end of the car raises high and the front end seems like it should be when it was prior to dropping the car off at the mechanic. If I lower the suspension the front is so low that the tires are tucked inside the fenders and the backend of the car is totally normal. Besides the links needing to be adjusted anyone have any idea what else I could be looking for? The set of pictures are the car in regular riding height. Second set of pictures are with the suspension raised up at the highest point with the button on the dashboard pressed. The car right now is not drivable being that low.

check it looks like its been put together correctly - put the standard link rods on in all three locations and if all the suspension tests show its OK - adjust the ride height to standard

give it a long test drive, check it the next day - then if you must mess the car up - try fitting different length link rods, all set up from standard length but different in length by x amount in line with the suppliers expectations

Your mechanic was the last one to touch it, so I would point my finger at him. This is also why I would take pictures and video of my vehicle in the mechanic's lot just prior to leaving it with him. With all the work you've done to this beautiful car, you trust it in the hands of a mechanic for simple things like control arms?

I would check the front sensors. Make sure he didn't mess with them. Check the links and see if they are intact. If everything checks out, then recalibrate the height with a SDS. ( Have one here if you want to drive up )
When I had my W220 and did my front upper control arms, we missed the bracket hole for the sensor. So it was bolted on but lower. That lowered the front of the car significantly and I had to recalibrate it. But even then it would only come up to a certain point and stop. Went back and fourth just to find out that the sensor bracket was put on wrong. That is why I would check those first...

hello,

thank you for the offer I too have the SDS but was just throwing out this question to see if anyone else experienced this before I start delving into it. I am sure it’s something simple. I will check with the SDS and report back
