Cool Anyway to watch a movie while driving???

Hello All,

Anyone know of a workaround where a movie or any video will continue to play on the in-dash screen even while driving instead of giving an error that it will distract the driver?

***see attached picture***

Please any ideas, but I would prefer some that have been tested and working.
Thank you very much.

either by someone with the right skills adjusting the speed signal it cuts out at
updating the car to a region where they didn't use a sensible law banning the use of video the driver can see
after-market devices that stops the speed signal reaching the device

the use of any of these ideas in markets that rightly outlaw the driver from viewing "video in motion", all depends how much you like having money and or eating prison food - UK death by dangerous driving is 10 years and you'll also have no insurance... and in today's world they always check for this sort of thing after nasty crashes

With all respect, it would be easier to die while texting than to change the video exclusion in Command. Please try to do this on an empty road so that no innocent is harmed. You will probably live (perhaps in a wheelchair for life), and the innocent will probably die.

Hello,

This would be for the passenger in the car and the other people in the backseat. It would be a bad idea to watch a movie or text while driving. Also, this is already something that is allowed in the UK as there software for that region does not turn off the video when the vehicle is put into Drive (D). Thank you for your input.

It is not an issue of speed. Once you put the car in drive it immediately turns off the screen. thanks

its adjustable - different regions, different implementation

I believe some Arabic states its perfectly OK, and its not disabled

I think USA, bit like bings and bongs for seat-belts and ignition keys, can't stop being a nuisance - before the major comand update, I believe the car had to be in park or it would never display video - now its as soon as there's any motion it blanks out. (sounds like you need the 2008 comand update)

Europe I can do up to 3 mph before it turns off - I actually think it would be good for seeing the news when in congestion if I could have it work up to 11 mph

the idea you mention its now allowed for passengers in front is not totally accurate - its always been legal so long as the driver can't ever see it - so if you rig up an aftermarket screen so the passenger can see it, and in the drivers peripheral vision its still visible its just as illegal. What you are saying is actually very different - later NTG3.5 cars had an option (making use of the peculiarities of LCD screen technology) where it has a split view - the driver can only see menus / the nav screen etc... but from the passenger side it shows the TV / video source (with no way the driver can see and thus be distracted by it...)
