There are no traffic advisories in TMC.

hello yesterday on a trip of about 250km. I gave the option that we have in the TMC navigator and there are no traffic announcements. I only get a message that says NO TRAFFIC MESSAGES. I live in Spain. Before, it gave me a lot of road information with the traffic information. I've tried it several times without success. Does anyone know what might have happened? I have the TA. activated. and the fixed frequency on the radio. any advice would help me. I put xentry/Das but everything in order. Greetings to all.

....mine seems to need 10 to 20 mins from cold start to pull traffic info - at times I have almost felt it can't be bothered, unless a destination is set (but I think its my imagination), when this free service went in to operation 25 or more years back it was useless with 20 min lag between updates and often 40 min old data - these days in the UK it seems to update around 8 to 10 min intervals and the other day was working on a road where there was no way it should have - so I now suspect they grab other data and use it

all that said there are times when there is NONE - quite rare but it happens - in std map view I often I scroll out on the comand knob and check for London (20 mile / 30 km for me) as there always a screw up there somewhere - so if no closed roads (no entry symbols) or other stuff, I know the TMC hasn't woken up yet

Hello Botus

once again thank you very much for your help and for sharing your knowledge. I also have it set to FALSE in the photo that you posted. I put it in TRUE which is the other option that allows you to change but without any difference since I don't have a VOICE module. Back in the day I tried to find the information and tutorials to retrofit the voice module in my car but I had no luck. It's something I have yet to do. I have retrofitted my car with several extras that did not come standard and all with success but I had all the necessary information and with xentry /Das to activate and code the extras. In the case of the voice module, I bought one but since I didn't have the info or the guide on how to install it, in the end I have it saved until I know how to do it. Going back to the topic of TMC. I will try it from time to time to see if there is any change. I have also noticed that in the other car that I have a BMW 730D e65 from 2003 the same thing happens to me. I have not received traffic information for some time. If I notice any change or fix it, I'll post it here. Thank you Mr Botus.
