So i went out all day, drove for like 3hrs and stuff, visited like 8 places, starting and turning off the car without any problems... but when i got to the last position, i started the car and it cranked before it started then heavy smoke started coming from the engine bay, then i saw something like Oil on the belt, i dont know how oil managed to get there .... so the next day, i set my camera to record it to see where the smoke came from, but there was no smoke, the belt was rattling like it could fall off though, but the belt seems tight enough though!
Any idea what might be wrong?? Is the belt bad?? is some screw loose?? the belt was changed less than 2 months ago, maybe it wasn't properly fixed??
i just want to have the idea of what could possibly be wrong so i can know what it can cost me

full vehicle spec helps
on the v8 idler sprockets on the drive belt (for alternator water pump AC compressor and PAS) are made of chocolate and self destruct... with these so close to other components its possible you have damaged a hose for an ancillary.... PAS or ABC pipes
NEVER start a car you know has problems - few can afford the added destruction.... it takes very little on today's cars to self destruct the entire thing - manus love it - they get to sell another car because an owner drove on when a $45 dollar part deliberately failed

vehicle spec.... air tragic suspension or option ABC
mileage
service history
condition, aka mint or wreck ?
have a look at hoses around the route of the ancillary drive belt
and see if the AC hoses still appear happy, they run close and losing gas would bring oil "and smoke" that mostly disappears
and check fluid levels and report back (engine PAS and coolant)
.

they designed it with chocolate bearings for a reason !!!!
all manus want is to sell new cars - if they're any good, value for money, have any longevity etc. is all history - the accountants worked out you just pay lewis 1 billion a year, and the muppets will keep buying junk - marketing wins (never mind its the route of all evil....)
