Ac/heat blower doesn’t kick on

Hello,

I have an odd issue that not sure what to think of as it just started. A little background is that the ac components are brand new. Meaning blower, blower resistor, compressor. Once I get in the car after it has been parked I press the button to turn on the heat or ac the blower doesn’t kick on right away but 15mins later the blower kicks on. Scanned the car for codes and nothing comes up. Ac blows ice cold once it’s on and the heat blows hot once on. Any want to venture on what it is? I am thinking relay.

Do these cars have temp measurement on the A/C coil? There could be a program that the blower does not start blow air before A/C coil is cold enough, so it does not blow hot air in the car. I know some cars do this with heating, i.e., the blower does not come on before heater core has some heat on it that comes with the engine heating up.

If you can measure all temperature sensors values you might be able to find the root problem, i.e., the A/C coil temp sensor is bad...or your coil just takes long time to get cold enough...but you say it blows ice-cold when blowing so the coil probably gets cold fast...
