Please let me know if this estimate is reasonable for Resealing Upper Timing covers for Mercedes Benz (2015) S550 Base
Any suggestions are appreciated.

If you are just needing to "reseal" the upper timing covers I'm having a hard time figuring out why you need all those parts?? If it's just a reseal then at most you would need is the 16 bolts, some gasket remover and sealer. $3.5k seems like robbery to me. Am I missing something? I plan to do tensioners and check valve soon and have priced it out and parts are only a little over $500 at FCP Euro

2007 S600, 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT8, 2000 C5 Corvette, and 2017 Mustang GT, and just got a 2023 300C
I could never get out of the dealership for less than $1700 on any repair except when doing an A service oil change and that cost $350. Now my preference is to buy OEM parts from FCP for the lifetime warranty and have my Indy do the install. Just my two cents.
