1994 S320 / 1984 300sd
bad ISM or EIS
Have been battling starting issue for awhile , if car is left unlocked - no issue , locking the car will cause the non starting issue - clock stopped at the time when possible faulty module shuts off , would not crank , no car milage displayed , solution is to disconnect the battery for 10 seconds .
Below are the fault codes from EIS and ISM modules.

Has anyone encountered similar problem?

how about clear all faults.... get fault, check error, disconnect battery see which fault is no longer active

Did you ever solve this. I had the SAME exact problem and it was my EIS.
