Spark Plug boot puller
Anybody have and dealings with and preferably a link to a good spark plug boot puller for our w221 bi-turbo engines? Limited space makes if virtually impossible to pull the spark plug boots off by hand.
I was looking at this one. Anybody?

I just did my M278 using this set https://www.mactools.com/products/ps711lra. I managed to break the boot on the cylinder nearest firewall, half on the plug half in hand. A lot of pick work to get it out. The rounded opening plyers worked best.

These are no fun to do - my car had the original plugs after 120k miles (I think) they looked almost new and were OEM. Anyways every single one on the passenger side snapped off and the rest of the boot was stuck around the spark plug. I ended up being able to get just enough of the leftover boot off to get a socket over the sparkplug and pull it out. Only took about 6 hours by myself. And FCP Euro has a great ~$350 Sparkpug & Boot Set.
So good luck and I think that the tool kit above will be very helpful. A small amount of engine temp is useful I think to warm up all the plastics and rubbers so they are slightly less prone to cracking. Although my car just wanted to be a Mercedes.
**Also put TONS of electrical grease on the new plug boots when you put the new ones in**

Yes always ..just avoid getting on the connection to the plug....Also put a little on the ribs of the spark plug...that really helps !!!!

I squirted a little Isopropyl down in the silicon rubber insulators which were left behind. Using a long nose needle nose pliers, I pulled and rotated a little at the 12 o’clock position, then 3, then 6, then 9. They all came out in 1 piece.
