seat message and multicountour does not work
I have a 2010 S65. It includes the multicountour seats and the seat messagers front and rear.
The seat messagers no longer work (on any of the seats front or rear). On the front the dynamic seats also don't work and I can't adjust the cushion adjustments like Lumbar.
For the front seats everything controlled from the door seems to work but nothing controlled from command seems to work. Same thing for the back seats - the door controls all work but not the center rear console controls. Also the rear seat head rests are not going up automatically when someone sits back there, not sure if that is related.
The front seat Dynamic seat modules are both reporting trouble code b1ea9 (I did not see a module for the rear seats that reported to my scan tool).
When I open the back door with the car off and listen by the center armrest cubby I can hear the pump running.
Any thoughts on the likely cause for this or troubleshooting procedure.

find the two long threads on how mad and complex they are to repair
somewhere a pipe or 10 have cracked and all the air pressure is escaping - if its too much the pump trips out and has a rest - best not to leave its self damaging itself... the pump is in the boot behind the panel at the back
basically they are not worth fighting - next day another bit will fail

You hear the pump but it times out or cuts out from overheating like BOTUS said.
You have a leak. I had this same problem with my past 2013 and current 2012 models. The safety pressure valve failed in both of them. This valve is mounted on the air reservoir, and it is not available part alone. Need to buy the whole reservoir for $350 to get the valve with it.
In my cars the pump with the reservoir is located in the driver side rear seat back that you access thru the trunk.
