Trunk Module
My trunk on a 2013 will not open and close automatically. I'm told this is the trunk module that needs to be replaced. Anyone have any tips on doing this? Also, anyone have the part number handy?

Yes, the car does have the option. I had left the car at a friends shop to get some minor work done, came back months later to find it sitting outside abandoned, with trunk open. I had to change the tuner due to water damage, therefore i'm pretty sure the same happened to the trunk. Repair shop quoted me $1500 to fix it. they said programming it was the expensive part. Anyone have any experience with this?

rubbish, coding the option s free if you have the tools - is the trunk broken because it gets damaged if you try to close it when the car is fitted with that irritating option - the bracket is a bit weaker than economy spec bacofoil and can't cope with being used like a real car

Yeah, needless to say i was pretty pissed. was supposed to take him one week, it was a simple paint correction job.
Had to change the amp, and the tuner for the radio to work. Not long after trunk quit working, so i'm guessing it's water damage.
