Jumping from the W210 to the W221! Looking for values?

I've had my 2002 E430 for over 12 years now and I love it. I've been trying to find another W210 to replace it since small things are failing often. But....I test drove a W222 the other day and the stealership wanted too much for it, but I think I'm ready to go that big!

I'm on the west coast. And these days it's hard to get a realistic handle on what these cars are worth (KBB, Edmunds, etc). What's a good price on one of these cars?

I've found an 2013 S550 with 120k miles on it RWD in great shape for $10,900.
Also a 2013 S550 4Matic locally (at a dealership)...not sure the miles yet for $13,900.

Whats a good price range for these cars around 100k miles? My W210 has 230k miles on it now with no check engine light and still passes smog (which I need where I live) so I'm not too worried about mileage. What's a good price range????

Thanks in advance!

keep the 210

if you think that solid reliable one is difficult don't look at any newer Mercs under any circumstances

it probably drives better too - and the only reason to move on would be tech - and the 221 is a 20 year old car

I can appreciate what you are saying. I've been looking hard for another 210 for over a year with no luck. I'm just not going to start putting money into a (great) car with 230k miles on it. This will be my daily driver and I literally only drive about 600 miles a year. This will probably be the last car that I buy.

I know that mileage/condition/area dictate prices, but I'm just trying to get a decent price gauge on these cars. I've looked on KBB a handful of times over the last few months and the prices on there are all over the place. Seems like it depends on what week you look on there and I have zero confidence in their "values" of cars.

Thanks!

200k on that one is nothing - they were one of the last real Mercedes Benz cars build to last a lifetime
if it still looks like the picture u gave u will likely always regret getting rid of it - the only bit I know that was going wrong was they had introduced the magically seize up brake calipers and glue Merc used on interior trim was magic fail glue that I have never noticed any other manu have issues with

if you want one to be last car I'd think about Lexus or investigate a modern toys laden head unit for the 210

I have 2 of them both 2002 E55's southerns cars and both black, one with 90K and the other one with 160K and they both are flawless cars. I don't drive them much but been tinkering with the high mileage one a little bit and will eventually would like to transplant a Renntech motor and other goodies as they become available LOL

These w210's are not cheap and I do see them both E430's and E55's from time to time but they are not cheap and that's for a reason too

These are great cars

Search the completed W221 auctions on Bring a Trailer. You can see the range of prices and judge how that relates to condition and mileage. You will find many points of comparison.

2012 Mercedes-Benz S550
I am willing to let mine go to the right buyer. Recently bought another car, so I’m playing with the idea of selling the S550.

2012 with 66k miles. Read my post/thread history for all that I’ve done to it and message me if interested.
