d241 error SDAR antenna
2012 W221 Bang and Olafsen
My sirius XM satelite quit working and their tech support could not cure.
DAS shows this code: "D241 The antenna cable from the component N87/5 (SDAR control unit) to component A2/82 (SDAR antenna) has an open circuit."
Has anyone else had this and fixed it?
WIS says tear the trunk inside panels out and replace N87/5, hoping there is an easier solution.
Thanking you in advance!

not unheard of for the Sat receiver (tuner) to die - check ebay - license fun ensures
you could try a cheap aftermarket antenna as germany have no clue how to make these work even when new
tuner sits in the left rear wing near the tail light - trim remove is OK... once you have battled the ridiculously mounted plastic trim panel across the back of the car - all the clips will break and its mounted more securely than the from crash structure of most new cars

Thank you for the advice. Reviewing those Wis Instructions. I hate trunk work, bending awkwardly and busted fasteners, Could live without it... we'll see.

the only hell is the bit across the boot catch - it comes off but they all break - very easy to replace (as if they designed it like that !!!!!) and these days most after-market shops stock better ones as they are utter crap from the factory - no doubt REAL Chinese tat using a less UV sensitive and more flexible plastic that's 10 times better than the designed to snap German crap plastic they peddle
four or so out there under $60 - make sure you have return policy as they DIE
