2010 S550 radio doesn’t work after disconnecting negative terminal.
My 2010 S550 radio stopped working after disconnecting the negative terminal ground. Tried doing it multiple times to reset it but still doesn’t work. The screen says “Device not available.” My code reader says “Fault In CAN Communication With Control Unit COU [ZBE].” D157.
you should be able to disconnect the battery as often as you like with no impact (other than reset of window and sunroof anti-trap)...
might as well give it another go and see if it gets happy (I doubt it) it would appear coincidental - maybe one module on the MOST ring (fibre optic orange circle ) has popped its clogs - you can get a fibre loop tool on ebay for <$10 and loop out the sirius module (or europe's DAB) and see if it gets over itself
the amp dying (its an integral tuner and amp and is part of the car HVAC controls) is normal... that and the headunit in the dash can't be looped out, but TV if you had it can be
